It's been a busy month of May!
I have made a few items over the last few weeks and would like to share some pictures of them with you.
I made this card using one of my Bella Stamps that are simple in style but work up just lovely. I used Prisma pencils to shade some areas before adding the Stickles on top. I used nesties to cut out the picture, sentiment and rings. I finished off the card with a few white Prima flowers and some ribbon.
Now I have to confess...the squiggles of Stickles around the corner areas are there due to a glue issue I had with my Zip Dry. It bled through the glitter paper for some reason. I didn't know it would do that?! Anyhow, I think it still it turned out OK in the end:)

This week I saw a video tutorial on how to make a Tumbled Tile Coaster on Gina K's Stamp TV.
The tiles look so nice and Gina made it look so easy and quick to do, so I thought I'd try one.
So off to the Home Depot for some Tumbled Tiles, $4.99 for 10! What a great buy. I also bought some little rubber 'feet' for the bottom of the tiles so they don't scratch the table. I think some Fun Foam or felt would work well too.
Yesterday I went to my favourite paper and ink store, The Paper Pickle. and bought a bunch, I guess 6 is considered a bunch, of Staz On Inks, and small dabbers.
I already had nice set of Inkadinkado Stamps that have a nice butterfly and flower that I wanted to use.
So...first off, I dusted off the tile. Then inked up my floral for the background with Black (all ink used are Staz On). I covered the tile with repeated stamping of this print. After a few minutes for the ink to dry, I sanded it to give the colour a more muted and softer look. Dust off again.
Next, I stamped the butterfly image with the Black.
After a few minutes for the ink to set, I used the small dabbers to ink up the yellow, and apply the colour by gently dabbing it on, then the orange. The colour must be dabbed not swirled on, or it will smudge the black.
And lastly I added the green ink with the dabber.
Once dry this picture will not wash off it is permanent.
I hope you like it, and will give it a try! ...

*(A Special Note to the girls coming over this weekend for our Paper+Ink Fun Day...we'll be making these!)
